POSSE IS NOW OPEN FOR OUTDOOR SEATING!!!

We received our Blue 51% sign and have reopened our outside patio as a restaurant at this time. In order to maintain this 51% Blue designation we gratuitously ask our patrons to order food along with their beers. Our tables are socially distanced and you must wear a mask when ordering and picking up your order.

We appreciate the support during these trying times. This will allow us to continue to serve you and maintain our 49 year history in Austin.

Governor Abbott Issues Executive Order Closing Bars

On June 26th, Governor Abbott issued an Executive Oder mandating that “all bars and similar establishments that receive more than 51% of their gross receipts from the sale of alcoholic beverages are required to close at 12:00 pm Friday. These businesses may remain open for delivery and take-out, including for alcoholic beverages, as authorized by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.”

Therefore, we will be closing our outside area at NOON today, but will still offer food, beer, and wine to go.

Outside area opening on Friday May 22nd:

Well the time has come where we will be able to open back up with a limited outdoor seating. First and foremost, I would like to thank our customers for their continued support during this time and stopping by to pick up some food or even ordering gift certificates.

We will be opening the outside dining area stating this Friday. All of Governor Abbott’s guidelines and protocols will be followed. Please bare with us as we transition into this new normal.

To go orders will still be offered for those who wish to pick up their food and we will continue utilizing the various delivery services. Additionally, you are still able to purchase gift certificates on our website, www.posseeast.com, or on site.

All restaurants, bars in Austin ordered to close by Mayor Adler, take out still available

Austin Mayor Steve Adler has ordered the closure of restaurants and bars in the city, and limiting gatherings to 10 people.

This order only applies to dining rooms. Restaurants may remain open for delivery, take out and drive-thru customers.

Bars are ordered to close common bar spaces open to the public and are prohibited from allowing consumption on premises.

Posse East will be open 11:00 am to 10:00pm for take out and delivery service only.

This order remains in effect from Noon today through May 1st.
